The first series of LEAD2 blended training completed

The first series of LEAD2 blended training has been taken place from February to July 2019. The training consists of the MOOC modules and the workshops training.    

The MOOC modules attracted online participants from 16 different countries. The course covered key topics including university governance structures, university governance for research, innovation and valorisation, academic leadership for education and internationalisation, comparative academic leadership, accompanied by interactive discussions, assignments, and tests. Participants have successfully completed the MOOC training during Feb and July 2019. Fourteen of the participants in the LEAD MOOC - English version were awarded the LEAD2 certificates. The results for the Chinese version will be announced by the end of July.    

Apart from the successful online training, the workshops training has successfully taken place in Beijing from 23 June to 29 June. The workshops addressed fundamental topics related to University Governance and Academic Leadership such as University Governance from Academics' perspectives, University Governance structures in different contexts, Department Head: Role, Competence, and Inspiration. After the five days of activities, the participants completed the LEAD2 workshop training and 69 participants were awarded the LEAD2 workshop certificates.
